Holder Reporting Software
The Comptroller's office provides free software for holders filing their unclaimed property reports electronically. The software requires at least a 166Mhz (300Mhz recommended) IBM compatible PC running Windows 98 or higher. Minimum memory requirements are 32 MB RAM and 20 MB of hard drive space. Version 4.1 has a new postage deduction field for property amounts that are more than $250.
Download version 4.1 (EXE, 10.96MB) of the software to your local disk (C:) drive. Please read all notes below before beginning the process. The program software should not be installed on a network and we recommend you close all Windows applications before your begin. Once the download is complete, double-click on the desktop icon UPRS4 and follow the screen prompts to complete the installation.
- If you have previous reports in version 4.0, your data will automatically migrate to the new software the first time you open the application.
- If you are using version 3.3 or older, your data will not migrate directly into version 4.1. You must install version 4.0 (EXE, 10.92MB) first and open it to start the migration. Then you can download version 4.1.
- Oil and gas companies should refer to the special note below before downloading the newest version.
- Once installation is complete, we recommend that you delete your old reports and program software from your hard drive after verifying that your data is available in the new version.
Because we use HTML Help, you must have Internet Explorer 7.0 or greater installed. HTML Help does not require that you use Internet Explorer as your default browser; it merely utilizes certain components of IE. If necessary, download the latest version of Internet Explorer.
