A tax is imposed on short term rental of self-propelled motor vehicles including passenger cars, vans, sports utility, and light trucks. The tax is not imposed on trailers or trucks having a manufacturer's rating of more than one-half ton.Other taxes, with voter approval, may be imposed: admissions tax, a parking fee, local hotel tax, a local sales tax, or a facility-use tax.

Bexar County - .0500 of the rental cost
Hill Country Village - .0200 of the rental cost
Due Date
Houston - Harris County: last day of the month following the end of the calendar month.
City of Euless: last day of the month following the end of the calendar month.
Bexar County: 20th day of the month following the end of the calendar month.
Hill Country Village: 10th day of the month following the end of the calendar month.
