The 9-1-1 Emergency Service Fee is collected by telecommunications service providers for each local exchange access line or equivalent local exchange access line, as defined in Commission on State Emergency Communications (CSEC) Rule 255.4.

Rates

$.50 per month for each local exchange access line or equivalent local exchange access line

Due Date

Monthly – 30th day following the end of the month in which the fee or surcharge was collected


Filing Requirements

If in the preceding fiscal year, you paid:

  • less than $10,000 – use any available reporting and payment methods available for this tax or fee. While electronic filing is not required, this option is encouraged.
  • $10,000 or more – use the guidelines below to determine your specific reporting and payment requirements.

The state fiscal year begins September 1 and ends August 31.
