In accordance with House Bill 1, 76th Legislature, Regular Session, Article IX, Section 9-7.02, I am pleased to deliver to you the State Expenditures by County 2000 report.
This report contains a listing of state expenditures by agency for each county and for the 24 Council of Government Regions. The report is compiled from accounting data generated by the Uniform Statewide Accounting System. For some expenditures we used information provided by individual state agencies to estimate the distribution of specific types of expenditures to the counties. The introductory section of the report contains an explanation of this estimation method and a listing of the categories of expenditures affected.
