The USPS, in conjunction with the TPASS State Mail Office, provides on-site agency specific mail related training. Topics which can be covered include, but are not limited to; mail piece design, addressing for success, mail preparation, state mail issues, etc.

USPS and TPASS State Mail Office Special Sessions

As new information is available, the USPS and TPASS State Mail Office conduct training for all state agencies. Invitations, training calendars and/or announcements are submitted to all state agencies within Travis County.

National Postal Forum (NPF) --www.npf.org

Held annually in different cities. This is an educational program attended by mailers of all sizes and categories interested in education, exhibitions, and changes in postal policies and procedures. The NPF is attended by over 6,000 participants and features an industry track for State/Local governments, as well as colleges and universities. The program begins on Sunday and ends on Wednesday night attracting over 6,000 attendees at each program. For agenda or information, contact an Account Representative or the Business Center.

Austin Postal Customer Council (PCC)

The mission of the Austin PCC is to foster and maintain a close working relationship among mailers, vendors, and the USPS; to share information about new and existing USPS products, programs, regulations, and procedures; to facilitate the interchange of ideas among mailers, vendors, and USPS officials; to help members and their organizations grow and develop professionally through focused educational programs; to promote cooperation and support between members and others who are dedicated to quality and efficiency in the mailing industry.

Networking -Meet with other businesses that use the mail, mailing experts, vendors from the mailing industry, and the Postal Service.

Information -Get valuable information you can put to work. See how the PCC is helping businesses like yours be more productive.

Communications -Communicate with mailers from your PCC or other PCC's for insights into marketing, mail processing, delivery and mail center management.

Education -Learn how the Postal Service can help your business become more profitable. Find out what educational opportunities exist through your PCC and the National Postal Forum. Learn about the latest developments in postal rules, procedures, products, rates and services from the best mailing industry speakers.

The PCC conducts quarterly informational sessions, as well as educational sessions. Fees for these events are minimal.
