South Texas Metro Counties and County Seats
There are six metropolitan counties in the South Texas Region.
- Aransas County has Rockport as its county seat.
- Cameron County has Brownsville as its county seat.
- Hidalgo County has Edinburg as its county seat.
- Nueces County has Corpus Christi as its county seat.
- San Patricio County has Sinton as its county seat.
- Webb County has Laredo as its county seat.
