Gulf Coast Region, Admissions for Diabetes-Related Long-Term Complications
Texas hospital inpatient discharge data for 2005 reveals that five of the Gulf Coast region counties had a higher-than-average number of admissions for diabetes long-term complications per 100,000 residents in comparison to the statewide average of 122 per 100,000 population. In alphabetical order, these are:
- Galveston County
- Harris County
- Liberty County
- Walker County
- Wharton County
