There are four regional water planning groups in the Central Texas Region.
Brazos (Region G), which includes the counties of:
- Bell
- Bosque
- Brazos
- Burleson
- Coryell
- Falls
- Grimes
- Hamilton
- Hill
- Lampasas
- Limestone
- McClellan
- Milam
- Robertson
- Washington
Lower Colorado (Region K), which includes the counties of:
- Mills
- San Saba
Region H, which includes the counties of:
- Leon
- Madison
Region C, which includes the county of:
- Freestone
