Approximate Global Distribution of Wave Power Levels
Globally, the distribution of wave power reflects areas with stronger winds, generally between the latitudes of 30 and 60 degrees, north and south. The highest wave power potentials are on western shores within those zones, such as Western Europe, the southern tip of South America and the southwest coasts of Australia and New Zealand.
