Horizontal-Axis and Vertical-Axis Wind Turbines
There are two main types of wind turbines, the horizontal-axis and vertical-axis models. Most modern wind turbines have a horizontal axis, with blades resembling airplane propellers. Vertical-axis units have blades that resemble an eggbeater’s.
