2007 Year End Wind Power Capacity (MW)
Exhibit 11-2 is a map of the United States showing wind power capacity by state.
By the end of 2007, U.S. installed wind capacity had grown to 16,596 MW. States with at least 200 MW of installed wind capacity at the end of 2007 included Texas, California, Minnesota, Washington, Iowa, Colorado, Oregon, Illinois, Oklahoma, New Mexico, New York, Kansas, North Dakota, Pennsylvania and Wyoming.
The data was collected by Global Energy Concepts and the American Wind Energy Association (AWEA).
