The nonattainment area for particulate matter and carbon monoxide is El Paso.
The nonattainment areas for 8-hour ozone only are:
- Dallas-Fort Worth
- Beaumont-Port Arthur
- Houston-Galveston-Brazoria
Austin is an early action compact area.
San Antonio is an early action compact area and an 8-hour ozone nonattainment area (deferred).
