Travel Services Re-Bid

The Strategic Sourcing Division is re-bidding the State’s Travel Agency Contract that was awarded in 2009. The current contract is allowed the State agencies and CO-OP members to book travel either online or through a travel agent at very competitive rates

Utilizing a new competitive request for proposals solicitation will produce the best values for the State. Specifically, this process will:

  1. Utilize the State's purchasing power to procure best possible price
  2. Obtain state of the art travel agency features
  3. Secure best in class customer service and
  4. Deliver robust reporting

The Strategic Sourcing Division will meet with the major stakeholders for their suggestions. The division will issue a Request for Proposals solicitation and will meet with vendors in February. The final contact award is scheduled for June with the services to begin September 2014.

Required Plug-ins

In 2015, the Texas Legislature passed House Bill 855, which requires state agencies to publish a list of the three most commonly used Web browsers on their websites. The Texas Comptroller’s most commonly used Web browsers are Microsoft Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Apple Safari.
