Standardized Contracts Cut Costs of Copier Leases
Texas state government has standardized its copier configurations and the Strategic Sourcing division negotiated fixed pricing for lease contracts reducing copier costs. The 19 percent savings achieved since May 2009 has reduced spending on copiers by $7 million.
Other contract improvements include:
- stricter and more measurable service level requirements;
- enhanced reporting capabilities;
- quicker delivery times; and
- reduced administrative burden.
