Merchant Card Services Re-Bid
The Strategic Sourcing Division is re-bidding the State’s Merchant Card Contract that was awarded in 2009. The current contract is allowed the State agencies and CO-OP members to annually process over $600 million of credit and debit card transactions at very competitive rates.
Utilizing a new competitive request for proposals solicitation will produce the best values for the State. Specifically, this process will:
- Utilize the State's purchasing power to procure best possible price
- Obtain state of the art transaction card processing
- Secure best in class customer service and
- Deliver robust reporting
The Strategic Sourcing Division has met with the major stakeholders for their suggestions. The division will issue a Request for Proposals solicitation and will meet with vendors in March. The final contact award is scheduled for June with the services to begin September 2013.
