State Government Card Transactions Now Cost Less

Credit and debit cards are most state agencies' preferred method of payment. The state has negotiated a contract with Elavon Inc. with US Bank to process these transactions and anticipate an annual saving of about $500,000 for participating state agencies and State of Texas CO-OP members.

The Strategic Sourcing Division contract achieved a number of enhanced services including:

  • measurable service level requirements;
  • enhanced statewide reporting capabilities;
  • daily settlements; and
  • reduced administrative burden.
