New Contract Archives Greater Savings
In November 2012, the Strategic Sourcing Division awarded new contracts for Mailing Equipment and Supplies to replace the previous contracts.
Neopost USA was selected as the primary vendor and Pitney Bowes was selected as the secondary vendor to ensure product availability. By heavily negotiating high usage items, and utilizing the lease rate factors to evaluate less frequently used items, the Division obtained pricing that is between 14%-30% less than the previous contract.
The new contracts will include items for purchase or lease such as:
- Mailing Machines
- Postage Meters
- Postage Scales
- Folders, Inserters & Openers
- Postage Meter Supplies
The new contracts will provide the following benefits:
