SPD firmly believes that procurement and contracting professionals should have all of the tools necessary to perform tasks that result in best value contracts and acquisitions for the State of Texas.
Per Government Codes 2155.078, 2155.324-325, and 2262.053 SPD establishes and administers a system of training, continuing education, and certification for state agency procurement and contract management personnel. These codes also authorize SPD to audit purchases made with delegated purchasing authority and make recommendations to major contracts.
With the guidance of the TCP program, professionals have the opportunity to expand their knowledge, skills, and credentials with an abundance of classes.
