After you have earned your certification, you are required to complete 80 hours of continuing education hours (CEH) beginning from the issue date or last renewal date of the certification. The hours may be averaged over a five (5) year period with no more than 36 CEH’s per certification year. To meet the CEH requirement, SPD encourages certified individuals to obtain 16 hours of CEH’s per certification year. CEH’s in excess of the 36 hour per certification year maximum cannot be rolled over to other certification.
It is your responsibility to maintain and track your CEH's as you take your classes. In the event you fail to meet the continuing education requirement, your certification will expire and you will be required to retake the required levels of training course, retest and reapply for certification. Continuing Education for this program falls into three basic areas:
- Standard Contract Management Related Training
- Non-Standard Training (Approved by your Manager or Director)
- Instructor Credit
