State Employee Pay Raise
July 10, 2007

Your state. Your dollars. Your business

Comptroller Susan Combs has notified the governor and legislative leaders that an extra $242.7 million in General Revenue will be available for a state employee pay raise. The 80th Legislature authorized a two percent state employee pay raise effective Sept. 1, 2007, and an additional two percent pay raise on Sept. 1, 2008. But the wage hikes were contingent upon the Comptroller’s certification that sufficient funds would be available. That’s your state. Your dollars. Your business.
