Hurricane Assistance for South Texas Businesses
Public Service Announcement
Airdate: through Aug. 31, 2008
Many homes and businesses suffered significant damage from Hurricane Dolly. That is why the Comptroller’s office is allowing businesses in those 15 South Texas counties declared disaster areas to postpone paying state taxes. Taxpayers can request extensions for up to 90 days to file returns due through the month of August. The Comptroller’s office realizes people need to focus on recovery right now, and this is just one way the state can help them. For more information, call the Comptroller’s office at 1-800-252-5555.
